About

An index, not a marketplace.

AugmentArena exists because the AI tool lists that dominate search are mostly the same 40 products, copied from each other, with prices that were true eighteen months ago. The interesting question — which technology actually extends a human capability, and on what evidence — is rarely answered.

So this is a directory with a narrower promise: every product carries a source for its one-line description, a separate status for its price, the date we read the page, and an explicit note when something could not be verified. Nothing is written from memory, and nothing is invented to fill a template.

The catalogue is organised by capability rather than vendor category. A sleep ring, a blood-testing service and a circadian app all sit under Longevity because they answer the same human question. That choice makes the index useful to a person, and makes comparison pages honest: two products are only compared when they genuinely compete for the same job.

There is no sponsored placement, no affiliate link and no paid review. If that changes, it will be stated on every page it touches before it touches anything.

The crawl is deliberately conservative: robots.txt is read first, requests are serialised per domain, and a refusal is recorded rather than circumvented. Blocked pages appear in the coverage report by name.
