Terms, in plain language.
1. What this site is
An editorial index of products, with sourced facts and a check date. It is not a marketplace, not an agent for any vendor, and not advice. A listing is not an endorsement, and a score is our rubric applied to public evidence.
2. Accuracy and its limits
Every fact shows where it came from and when we read it. Products change without telling us; a price that was right on 30 Oct 2026 may not be right today. Verify anything that matters on the operator's own page before you buy. We correct errors when given a source, and we would rather show “n/v” than a guess.
3. Independence
No paid placements, no affiliate links, no sponsored rankings. If that ever changes, the affected pages will say so before the change takes effect.
4. Data licence
The structured catalogue at /data.json is published under CC BY 4.0: use it, build on it, quote it — attribute AugmentArena and link to the product page. Product names, logos and descriptions remain the property of their owners and are reproduced only as short quotations for identification and commentary.
5. Crawling and privacy
We read public pages only, honour robots.txt, and serialise requests per domain. We store no personal data from those pages. On this site: no analytics scripts, no tracking pixels. Newsletter emails are stored only to send the newsletter; submissions store a salted hash of the connection, not the address. Votes are counted once per visitor per day using the same salted hash.
6. Corrections and removals
Operators may request a correction with a source; we will re-read the page and update the row. A product that has shut down is marked as such rather than deleted quietly. Removal requests are honoured for unlawful content, never for an unfavourable score.
